What is large-format printing?
Large-format printing covers big printed items: banners, roll-up banners, vinyl graphics, signs on rigid boards, posters and photocall backdrops. They’re printed digitally, made to measure, on materials designed for indoor or outdoor use.
What matters here is what it’s printed on: depending on where it’s going, how long it has to last and how it will be hung, we recommend the material and finish.

Frequently asked questions
What resolution does a large-format file need?
Less than you might think: a PVC banner is seen from a distance, so it doesn’t need the same resolution as something held in the hand. Send us the file and we’ll confirm whether it’s enough.
Can I send the file to scale?
For very large pieces, working to scale is common. Tell us the scale when you send it and we’ll confirm whether it works.
What lasts best outdoors?
PVC banners, outdoor vinyl and rigid boards such as PVC or aluminium composite. Paper is best kept indoors.
